spring

This purple blue hyacinth sitting on my coffee table is killing me.

I'm trying to focus on work, but the combination of the hyacinth's intoxicating smell and the birds chirping so happily outside, is beyond distracting. If only the scent of this flower could be captured to sniff throughout the year. I wonder if it would smell so beautiful if it wasn't only fresh for two weeks each year?

Violet also cannot be contained. She's been zipping in and out all morning... and stopping to smell the crocuses.

And so, it is taking ever ounce of my will power, not to scrap today's work and get outside. Thankfully tonight is date night, which will include the spouse's favorite - a shamrock shake, and a long, plant-poaching walk. :)

That's amazing that hyacinths are only fresh for two weeks each year! Did you end up working or scrapping it for the outdoors?

That sounds amazing. And that scent is intoxicating, so wonder you had to take it all in.
